Christmas Stories in the Library December 10th, 2013

What a great season it is when I can come to school and read Christmas books to children of all ages. Students are signing books out like crazy, enjoying familiar stories and reading new stories.

An author many are enjoying right now is Jan Brett.  She is also an illustrator of her own books. The illustrations are absolutely amazing and have many things to explore in them.  The students have enjoyed “The Mitten” “The Gingerbread Baby” and many others.  Below is a link to an online reading of her story: “The Gingerbread Baby”

Another great Jan Brett book is The Wild Christmas Reindeer.  Watch a reading of

Her Version of The Three Snow Bears has also been enjoyed by many students. These books are all available in our library. Parents are also welcome to choose books to sign out as well.

Students in the primary classes, in particular the kindergarten classes, have also enjoyed the book by another author called “The Elf On The Shelf”.  Here is an online version to enjoy with your children ~

And finally, to tie in to our Grinch theme, please have a listen to the on line song The Grinch or read the story at The GrinchÂ
