Good morning everyone ~~~ I hope all our families had a safe, enjoyable Halloween.  Please find attached the November newsletter. November 3rd  Also attached is some information on Operation Christmas Child: 1580_001
The community will be doing a Christmas PJ Drive. Â Last year our school participated in this worthwhile activity and we were able to donate around 100 pairs of pj’s for children in our community. Please look for information around this in the coming weeks.
Our new virtue for November is perseverance. Â I am looking forward to seeing how our students can demonstrate their learning on perseverance.
Our school will be having our Remembrance Day service on Monday, November 10th at 11:00 a.m.  Poppies are available at the office for a donation.  There are some excellent on line resources to assist families in explaining what Remembrance Day is and why we take 2 minutes of silence on this day.  One such resource is:  Soldier’s Prayer written and produced by Fort St. John’s Deere John.  An excellent presentation on The Highway of Heroes  produced by Canadian Band, The Trews.  A little story for younger children is The Poppy Story .  One of my favourite videos for Remembrance Day is:  A Pittance of Time .
