This was the last Friday of the 2019-20 school year and a good time to reflect on what it means to be a ROYAL! As Royals we “walk with pride in our step” and engage in our school community and learning journey with Respect, Organization, Accountability and Resilience. In the last three months we have had to R.O.A.R. even louder as we adjusted to the challenges and opportunities of learning during a Pandemic, from home and school, in new and different ways. Here’s Mrs.Kenyon and some of her Kindergarten students “signing” our song, which fills my heart with so much pride and joy!
We should also be proud of the way we have all worked together to ensure the health and safety of our school community, whether we are learning from school or home at this time. We appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation and respect, and would like to give special thanks to Ms Jona Dubuque, our head custodian, for her tireless commitment to keeping our school sparkling clean, as well as Sabrina Elmslie (SD60) and Mrs.DeGroot for taking the lead in Health and Safety measures for our school during this time. Also, thanks to these Grade 6s from Mrs. Klassen/Dressler’s class for creating this video to remind students of ways to be safe, be kind and have fun!
