April newsletter and calendar
Welcome back from Spring Break! It is great to be back and to see all of the students again. It sounds like most students had a good break and were able to enjoy our nice spring weather. Please see the April newsletter and calendar to see all of the upcoming activities. There are two requests for input through surveys. Please let us know you thoughts on the new report card format and the timing of Spring Break. Thank you!
Gym Night
Tonight we enjoyed our last Gym Night for this school year. Everyone had fun playing Dodgeball and Capture the Flag games. Constable Shawn joined us to have fun as he has for many of our Gym Nights.
Winners of Cookie Dough Sales
With the recent PAC’s Cookie Dough sales, the top salesperson in each class received $15 in coupons for the movie theatre. The top sellers in each class were Lillianna Green in Mrs. Shuster’s class, Julia Fochuk and Ashtyn Palmer in Mrs.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
After a very successful Jump Rope for Heart, Robert Ogilvie was able to donate $781.77 to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We had set a goal of raising $500 and surpassed our goal! Way to go,
Satisfaction Survey for parents of grade 4 and 7 students
This week a letter was sent home about the Ministry of Education’s Satisfaction Survey for parents of grades 4 and 7 students. Each letter had the website information on it and a logon number. If you did not receive the letter,
Jump Rope for Heart
Students had lots of fun on Wednesday skipping rope or doing step aerobics for Jump Rope for Heart. Students also donated coins to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Thank you to Mrs. Dressler who organized this event for us.
Regional Science Fair
Our students enjoyed the Regional Science Fair. Congratulations to Trystin Clarkson who won the Michael Crooks Physics Prize and to Colson Fellers who won the Chevron Canada Award which is Honorable Mention for a grade 7 or 8 project. Colson was also selected to be one of five students representing Northern B.C.
