    Dear Parents and Guardians,
    We are now officially at the halfway mark of the school year and have gained 1.5 hours of daylight since December 21st.  It is amazing how that extra sunlight brightens up our day.  This week is looking particularly nasty as far as the weather goes.  It might be an idea to pack an extra sweater for students in case the school is chilly.  Please find in this newsletter,

    Dear Parents and Guardians,
    Welcome back and Happy New Year!  It is nice to see the sun shining earlier in the morning and to have a little reprieve from the cold weather.  The students and staff are all excited to be back at school and I have seen lots of enthusiasm for learning.  The months ahead should be exciting and busy.  A special welcome to all the new families in our community!  Please find the latest information and calendar attached.

  • Jump Rope for Heart

    We completed a fun and successful Jump Rope for Heart on Monday, February 25th.  Students raised their heart rate as they skipped and did aerobics in the gym during the day.  They also raised funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation by bringing coins for the house teams.  As a result of the collection,

  • Science Fair

    Robert Ogilvie held a very successful Science Fair on Friday, Feb. 25.  Thank you to Mrs. DeGroot for organizing the day and to our judges: Mrs. Boettcher, Mrs. Neuls, Mr. Adkins, Mrs. Philpot, Mrs. Darnall and Mrs.

  • African Acrobats

    We enjoyed a great cultural event on Wednesday with the African Acrobats from Kenya.  See some of the photos below of their great acrobatic feats!



  • Book Exchange

    Each month R.O. has a Book Exchange where students may choose a ‘new to them’ book.  Thank you to Mrs. Wells for running our Book Exchange each month.  Books are donated by students and parents for the Book Exchange.  Presently,

  • Open House

    Thank you to all the families that attended our successful Open House on Thursday, September 23!  A special thank you to our PAC for the delicious Pizza dinner before the Open House.  As evident in the following photos,

  • Before and After School Child Care Program

    We are very excited to be able to offer a Before and After School Child Care Program beginning in September 2010!  Please see the attached poster and survey for more information and for a contact name and number.  This will be a great support to our students and their families and an asset to our school!
