Recycled Planter Challenge

Classes took the challenge from our Garden Club to come up with a recycled planter and to fill it with edible plants!  Members from NEAT came to judge the planters on the afternoon of June 1.  Honorable mention was given to Ms Gauthier’s class’

Before and After School Child Care Program

We are very excited to be able to offer a Before and After School Child Care Program beginning in September 2010!  Please see the attached poster and survey for more information and for a contact name and number.  This will be a great support to our students and their families and an asset to our school!

Painting at the playground

Members of the PAC and many students came out to help paint some of the structures on the playground.  Thank you for all of your work!  The playground is looking better every day.

Fine Arts afternoon

On Thursday, May 20 all students participated in a fun Fine Arts afternoon.  Teachers offered different sessions such as card making, drama, singing and many more.  Students signed up for the sessions of their choice.  A special thanks to all of the staff for organizing the different sessions and to Mrs.

Speech Contest

On Friday, May 14 we held our school Speech Contest.  Congratulations to all students who participated.  Special congratulations to Ethan Elliott, first place, Allyson Knight, second place, Tarin Henrickson, third place and Alanis Mooring, honorable mention.  Ethan,

RO Sports Carnival

Fun was had by all on the evening of May 6 at the RO Sports Carnival.  The pictures below show some of the many highlights of the evening.  Holly Rowe won the raffle for an I-Pod Touch.  Shawna won the bottle full of gummy worms  and Loanna Henrickson won the bottle full of bouncy balls from the PAC.  Over $2000 was raised to support student activities at RO.  Thank you to all who came out and supported the Carnival and to all the staff who work hard to put on such a successful Carnival.

RO Garage Sale

A very successful Garage Sale was held on April 24 by the Garden and Playground committees.  The gym was full of items to sell.  A number of parents and students helped out over the weekend.  Just over $2500 was raised.  Thank you to all who supported RO!  Special thanks to Bonnie Anderson,
